The Final Report

Dear friends,
Our Comenius Project has come to the end. It has been a great experience for all of us. We are very grateful that we have had this opportunity to visit new countries, learn many new things and get to know new friends in other project schools. We hope that we will keep in touch in the future as well. THANK YOU!

School Garden

Our school garden is ready for summer. We hope it will be a sunny and warm summer - and not too much rain!

Cherry trees and pear trees are growing.

One of our tasks was to save our Christmas tree's roots and replat it outside. Because we have frost (the ground is also frozen) we can't plant anything for a while. Instead we can use wood for heating or we can compost it. Wood is a renewable natural resource in Finland. We have approximately 26 million hectares of forest and we try to take good care of it. On spring we plant small birches (photo). In time they will grow into a new forest. We have also planted some apple trees, cherry trees, pear trees and plum trees to our school garden.
